President Trump Adds New Travel Restrictions in a New Travel Ban.
President Trump stated that the new proclamation is needed to screen out terrorists or public safety threats, and indefinitely restricted travel from Iran, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, Chad and now North Korea. In addition, certain government officials from Venezuela will also be barred.
The new Proclamation will come into effect on October 18, 2017. There will be clarification as to which foreign nationals from these banned countries will be exempt from the ban.
