President Trump’s Travel Ban Blocked by Federal Judge in Hawaii
A federal judge in Hawaii has partially blocked President Trump’s third attempt to restrict entry into the U.S. for citizens of certain countries. The Department of Justice says it plans to appeal.
U.S. District Judge Derrick Watson in Honolulu had previously blocked Trump’s last travel ban in March. In his ruling on Tuesday, Watson said Hawaii was likely to succeed in proving that Trump’s latest travel ban violates federal immigration law.
